Special Instruction: Forms, Drills, Contact Sparring (Breaking coming soon)

 

Class Schedules:

Tuesday 4:30 pm - 5:45 pm / Hampton Rec. Center
This class is taught by Coach Sarris and Master Tinnon. Full contact sparring is ongoing and should be expected every class. Full gear is mandatory.

Tuesday 7:45 pm - 8:30 pm / Langley Community Center
This class is taught by Master Tinnon. Drills and a full range of sparring should be expected. Full gear is optional.

Wednesday 6:45 pm -7:45 pm / Hampton YMCA
This class is taught by Master Tinnon. Drills and a full range of sparring should be expected. Full gear is optional.

Thursday 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm / York Rec. Center
This class is taught by Coach Sarris. Forms practice and Full contact sparring is ongoing and should be expected every class. Full gear is mandatory. When entering come straight to the back right corner of the gym.

Thursday 6:45pm - 7:45 pm / Ft Eustis Youth Center
This class is taught by Master Tinnon. Drills and a full range of sparring should be expected. Full gear is optional.

Saturday 1:30 pm - 2:50 pm / York Rec. Center
This class is taught by Master Tinnon and Coach Sarris. All forms practice and stretching is done with regular class and more intensive drills and sparring techniques after stretching is completed. Full gear is mandatory.

Gear Notes:

Light Gear: Instep, Shin, Arm Guards, Groin Protector
Full Gear: Instep, Shin, Arm Guards, Groin, Chest, Head Protector, Mouth Guard, Gloves

All competition team members should wear light gear at all classes and full gear whenever sparring (regardless of type).

Any person who plans to compete in tournament sparring should verify that their gear is in order and legal. All pads should be white or fabric beige. If you have questions about whether this is the case please address a sparring instructor. Note the addition in the list above of gloves. Gloves are now a mandatory part of all black belt sparring competitions and have been required in some tournaments for divisions as low as red belt (14 year olds).
